About

I am a development economist and work as a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). I am also a Research Affiliate of the Ford Program within the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame. In this role, I serve as a founding member of the Collaborative for Econometrics and Integrated Development Studies (CEIDS).

Background

I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. in Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics from Michigan State University. I have also previously served as a Research Economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service and as a Research Associate at the U.S. Global Development Lab within the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Research

My research focuses on applied development microeconomics with applications in agriculture, conflict, and psychology. I also do some work on applied research methods relating to estimation strategies and measurement.
